now i'm a danish citizen!!!

When you arrive to Denmark and you are going to be here for more than 3 months, the first step you have to take is register as a Danish citizen. Then you will get your CPR number (like an ID number) and you will be legal!!! Also you should know that not only this registration is important to be a legal citizen but is something you need for reach common needs in the daily life. For instance, if you want to open a bank account the first question they make you is "Do you have a CPR number??". Also if you want to go to the doctor is better if you have a CPR number, because if not, with the European Health Insurance Card you can be knocking the doors from doctor to doctor to see if someone of them is free to see you.

This registration process is easy and simple, but, I don't know why, is so boring and so slow...
First you have to contact the Registration Office and make an appointment. I did it and I got an appoinment for the last 10th of September.
Then you have to wait 3 or 4 weeks until they send you a letter. I received this letter the 20th of October, almost 40 days after!!! If you open the letter you will realize that there is neither a Yellow Card nor even a CPR number!!!
There is only a letter telling you that you have to take it to your city's town hall. Once there, you have to fill in another form (I don't know the reason...) and choose a doctor from a large list. I went there the 28th of October and I did everything.
After that, you have to wait again until they send you the famous Yellow Card to your mailbox. Finally, I received the 10th of November (just last Monday...)

An now...here is my Yellow Card!!!

As you can see, being registered in Denmark is not something you can do in a few minutes!!!
